My friend Laura writes the littlemisslaur blog. Before starting my own blog I followed it. I love reading her blog as she is great with all things beauty and especially with make up. We decided to get together and have some Christmas tea at my house. Laura and myself over lots of tea, mince pies, non alcoholic mulled punch and cookies talked make up mostly. She applied some make up to me and also recommended some products which she deemed good Christmas gift buys for family and friends. Have included pictures of these. To give an added festive feel to our little tea party, my brother Joe played us some Christmas Carols and songs on the piano hoping to encourage Laura who has a lovely voice to sing- she is a talented lady.

Laura’s Festive Makeup Picks
1-Barry M Concealer
Laura uses the shade light in this Barry M concealer. Laura highly advises it for brightening up your eye area.
2-The Wet n Wild Blush in Apri-cot in the middle
This blush is a really nice dusty pink colour and is really good for paler skin tones, just like myself and Laura. I’m going to have to go and get one. These Wet n Wild products are all cruelty free.
3-NYX-Liquid Suede in ‘Sandstorm’ and ‘Kitten Heels’
‘Sandstorm’ is a really nice mauve shade that’s not too bold and looks very natural. ‘Kitten Heels’ is a very bright red colour perfect for the month of December. I haven’t tried these out before but I’ve heard quite a bit about these lipsticks and they have a good range of colours.
4-Wet n Wild Dulce de leche
This is a duo highlight and bronzer all in one. They have different shades of bronzers and highlights to cater for different skin tones. If in search of a good bronzer I think this is one to pick up.
5-NYX Face and Body Glitter in ‘Bronze’
When Laura came to my house she was wearing her favourite Christmas make up look. On the top of her eyeshadow she had this glitter pigment on her eyes. It was a golden shimmer perfect for Christmas. Even though the product is called ‘bronze’ it’s definitely more golden then bronze. I definitely think this is ideal for Christmas especially for that extra bit of sparkle.
